What actually is a digitization strategy? On the one hand, the core issue is to identify which strategic business processes can be supported by the means of modern information technologies. On the other hand, new offerings are also to be developed and supported with modern media. This should all be done within the framework of strategic corporate development, i.e. it is part of the corporate strategy and therefore primarily the responsibility of the BoD and the GM. Back in 2011, we developed a guide that addresses precisely these issues and shows how to build a digitization strategy.
